Quinz is proud to announce that Dries Vanpaemel has joined its transactional team as senior legal director.

Dries is a transactional lawyer with more than 18 years of experience in M&A and strategic operational transactions (supply chain, distribution, real estate, construction).  He combines nine years of experience as an international business lawyer at the international law firm Baker McKenzie with nine years of experience as an in-house counsel at the global property group Goodman where he focused on complex international transactions.

Dries will contribute his robust transactional expertise to Quinz’ Life Sciences & Technology and Corporate & Finance departments.

The enthusiasm of partners Pieter Wyckmans and Olivier Van Obberghen (Life Sciences & Technology) and Klaas Thibaut and Bart Lintermans (Corporate & Finance) with Dries’ arrival is clearly undeniable: “Our clients consistently confirm that the in-house experience of us and most of our team members is perceived as a great added-value for the quality of our services.  During the past few years, we have devoted a great chunk of our recruitment efforts to convincing talented in-house counsel to rejoin private practice and serve our clients with their invaluable in-house expertise. We are therefore extremely happy with Dries’ decision to join our teams after nine years of complex transactional in-house work at the Goodman group, especially since -as a former senior associate to the reputed international law firm Baker McKenzie- Dries also perfectly understands how to meet the high demands and expectations of our clients.  Our Life Sciences & Technology and Corporate & Finance departments provide state-of-the-art transactional solutions to the legal departments of national and multinational companies, notably with the day-to-day follow-up of strategic and/or operational transactions - on site or remotely. Dries’ extensive in-house experience will undoubtedly constitute an invaluable asset to this solution-driven practice and will be put at use to ensure the continued quality of our services in this respect.”
