The pandemic has forever changed the world of work, retail, education but also healthcare. While digital health solutions were gradually gaining ground prior to 2020, the COVID-19 crisis has rapidly accelerated that process. Telemedicine, telemonitoring, wearable devices, health apps and platforms are now an integral part of our lives. This digitization does not only revolutionize the delivery of care but it also resulted in a paradigm shift on how we approach healthcare, from treatment to prevention and from healthcare for the masses to healthcare that is patient-centered. As we move into new phases of the pandemic, it is the perfect time to pause and look ahead. What will COVID-19’s legacy be on digital health policy and regulations now that the emergency measures have (largely) been lifted?
In light of this, Quinz is proud to have contributed to the Belgian chapter of the ICLG Digital Health Laws and Regulations for the third year in a row.
