Quinz advises Pharma.be on new Animal Health Code of Conduct

Quinz is pleased to have advised pharma.be on the drafting of the renewed Animal Health Code of Conduct, recently published by pharma.be.

The Animal Health group within pharma.be brings together companies active on the Belgian market for veterinary medicines. Through their work, these companies contribute to animal and public health, animal welfare and the responsible use of medicines, within a broader One Health approach. The renewed Code supports that commitment by setting out clear principles for ethical and responsible conduct in the animal health sector.

The renewed Code includes strengthened guidance on communication and interactions with stakeholders and updates to align with applicable legislation, as the legal and regulatory framework for veterinary medicines has evolved significantly in recent years, including through European rules applicable to the sector. The new Code therefore provides an updated framework that better reflects today’s legal environment and market practice.

The Code has also been aligned with the codes of the European and global sector associations, AnimalHealth Europe and HealthforAnimals and harmonised with pharma.be’s code of deontology for human medicines providing a more coherent framework for its members.

Quinz is proud to have supported pharma.be in translating a complex and evolving regulatory landscape into a practical, sector-specific framework. The project reflects the importance of clear self-regulation in highly regulated industries as a compass for responsible business conduct, transparency and trust.

Congratulations to pharma.be and its Animal Health group on this important milestone.
