Hannelore Buelens joined the dispute resolution team at Quinz in 2019. After a tenure as an affiliated researcher at the KU Leuven Economic Law Department, she obtained an LL.M. degree at the New York University School of Law. Commencing her career at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, Hannelore honed her skills working on complex and high-profile corporate transactions and disputes. At Quinz, she has become a cornerstone of our team, focusing primarily on corporate litigation, (cross-border) commercial litigation, and arbitration matters. Hannelore’s strategic thinking, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex legal matters have earned the trust and respect of clients and peers alike. Marion Lapage joined Quinz in 2016 after having successfully completed an LL.M at the London School of Economics and has been a pillar of our life sciences team ever since. Marion specializes in pharma regulatory matters (more particularly on market access and supply chain issues) and strategic transactions (M&A, licensing, supply chain projects, spin-off projects, etc.) in the areas of life sciences and healthcare. She has shown an unwavering dedication to the firm and our clients and is particularly praised for her excellent negotiation skills and pragmatic approach. Marion’s achievements have previously been acknowledged with a notable recognition by Chambers as an “Associate to Watch” (since 2023) and by Legal 500 as a “Rising Star” (since 2021). Gillis Lindemans began his career as a lawyer at Clifford Chance. Before joining Quinz in 2019 as a member of our dispute resolution team, Gillis successfully defended a doctoral thesis on creditor protection in legal entities at the KU Leuven, for which he received a fellowship from the Research Foundation of Flanders (FWO). Gillis specialises in complex insolvency-related and corporate disputes, including group litigation. He also regularly represents clients in high-value restructurings. Gillis works particularly with banks and financial investors. Combining a pragmatic approach with an eye for detail, Gillis is recognised by clients for his ability to navigate highly technical issues without losing sight of their strategic interests. He has published numerous articles in the areas of insolvency and corporate law and regularly speaks at seminars and conferences.
Thijs Vancoppernolle has been a member of our dispute resolution team since 2018. After graduating summa cum laude in 2013 (Kulak, KU Leuven and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne), he became a full-time doctoral researcher at the Centre for Methodology of Law (KU Leuven and FWO) and wrote a widely acclaimed dissertation on intertemporal conflicts of laws. Thijs is an exceptionally versatile lawyer and has developed extensive expertise in contract law, commercial law, corporate law, arbitration, and private international law. He is praised for his thoroughness and expert knowledge as well as his business-orientated mindset.
