Joeri Vananroye specializes in the areas of arbitration and litigation, corporate finance, and insolvency law. His main focuses are corporate and commercial litigation, high-level corporate counselling and mergers and acquisitions.
In 2012, Joeri Vananroye became a professor at the KU Leuven (Institute for Commercial and Insolvency Law). He teaches commercial law, economic analysis of the law and corporate law in Leuven, Brussels and Kortrijk and is the coordinator of the option business strategy in the joint Economics, Business and Law program. Previously, he was a fellow of the Belgian American Educational Foundation, a fellow of the Fund for Scientific Research (Flanders) and a researcher at the Jan Ronse Institute for Corporate Law. He has been a recipient of the TPR prize, the APR prize and the Albert Fettweis prize.
Joeri Vananroye is a member of the board of editors of the Tijdschrift voor Rechtspersoon en Vennootschapsrecht and is a member of the Belgian Centre for Corporate Law.
Prior to joining Quinz, Joeri Vananroye worked for many years at Baker & McKenzie, where he assisted the M&A and corporate litigation practice, notably in the financial sector, and advised international and domestic companies and governments on various questions of corporate law.
He is licensed to practice at the Brussels Bar.
