10 years Quinz – 10 years of Q-DNA – 10 years of intriguing work
In honour of our 10th anniversary, we are thrilled to complete our anniversary series with our eighth publication “Something new on the horizon? From Horizon 2020 to Horizon Europe”.
With an impressive budget of 95.5 billion euros and an even larger ambition than any of its predecessors, Horizon Europe will take publicly funded research and innovation in the EU to a whole new level during the next seven years. The new framework draws upon the lessons learned from Horizon 2020 and introduces a number of key innovations to address the main criticisms of the latter, with a particular focus on the role of SMEs in the R&I landscape in Europe. In this article, we will discuss some of the most important updates vis-à-vis Horizon 2020 and how these updates might affect the considerations for participating to projects under the Horizon Europe umbrella.
