Joeri Vananroye working on modernisation of Belgian commercial law

Of Counsel Joeri Vananroye has advised the Minister of Justice, Koen Geens, on the modernization of Belgian commercial law. The draft act on the reform of commercial law has been approved by the Council of Ministers and will soon be submitted to Parliament for approval. The draft act provides for the abolishment of the notion “merchant” and introduces a new general concept of “undertaking” (“entreprise” / “onderneming”).
